This port wine cellar is located a good bit away from most of the others that you find along the river Douro. It is a big, gated estate like complex of buildings which at the time of our visit showed more staff than visitors. We...More

This place is a little bit out of the way but easy to get to. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

We stopped here on our exersion around Oporto. We were looking forward to our tour of this place and the port tasting. We were shown a video about the vineyards and taken through to where they kept the port in barrels. You could smell the...More

Is a short tour, don’t expect to see the vineyards or see any of the process. They show you the place where they put the wine and give explications of how each wine is made. Then they let you taste two of the wines. Is...More

You can just turn up there and speak to the guys in reception. It's a little way out of the centre but easily reachable by car (and has parking available).
