This is one of the few port houses where you don't have to book a tour in advance. You just turn up, pay your money and get a headphone and map which take you round this extensive exhibition. It finishes in the tasting room where you can sample two glasses, or take them into the rose garden.

We enjoyed a private tour including an extended introduction of the history of port wine. This was very enjoyable. It is hard to say if the exprerience was better than what you would have with other port wine manufacturers, but it surely was enjoyable.

Everything you ever wanted to know about port wine shown during a great self-guided tour using a hand-held multi-language device. Starting in a huge warehouse containing row upon row of wine barrels of various sizes you continue through an upstairs room with numbered exhibits explained in detail by accompanying videos showing the wine producing process. The history of Taylor's wine... More

Having read about the many port houses we decided on this one. The place is great and the staff friendly & helpful. You make your own way round with an audio guide which worked well for us. There is plenty to see & it is very informative on the history of wine production right up to the present day. At... More

The 12 euro tour of the port cellars included an extensive audio guide which provided all the information you could ever want to learn about the history and production of port. The self guided tour concludes with tasting of two port varieties in Taylor's beautiful gardens, with options to upgrade your experience with more tasting or purchases. New to port,... More

We enjoyed an interesting visit to Taylor's - the tour and wine tasting was great fun for us and our teenage kids. We would definitely recommend this if you're visiting Porto/Gaia.

Visited Taylor's after few years since the last time. The addition of the museum and audio tour is fantastic and the service is very welcoming. The best Port cellar visit experience.

This is a self guided tour for €12 each. We were given headphones for an audio guide. Walking through the port barrels was impressive as was the smell of the port! The guide was interesting but at times rather too detailed. The exhibits were varied and well maintained. The family is justly proud of its heritage. The visit ended with... More
