Friends from out of town asked us to take them here. Nothing to boast about. In fact, I can't think of anything to add to get this to 100 characters.

We stopped in on our Norfolk walking tour and learned many things about the history of our country and McCarther. Great lesson on how he helped the Philipines. His car is on display along with various uniforms and other personal items of historical significance, and preserved items. If you like history, this is worth stopping by!

Everything about this memorial/museum is inspiring. It feels great touring the exhibits and feeling the recent source of strength for our nation. I listened to the online podcast tour as I looked at the exhibits. With the audio tour I spent about an hour and a half from beginning to end. By the time you finish you will have a... More

We stopped in to get out of the rain and were pleasantly surprised by the breadth of this museum. We both learned a great deal about MacArthur and enjoyed this extensive collection. Allow 3 hours for a visit and be sure to catch the film start, as it helps to set the stage for your visit. All attractions are free,... More

If you are not a history or biography... More

The memorial is historically accurate, and serves as a good chronicle of the General's life. For those interested in research, the archives are some of the best on Virginia.

Was amazed by how much information about the life of MacArthur was available in the museum and how much I didn't know about him. Was fascinating reading and the displays were fabulous. Definitely go across the road to the Gift Shop and Visitor Center. I am a bit handicapped so the elevator was much appreciated. Could have been more chairs... More
