I just completed the ASA101 course offered by SailTime Virginia Beach. Captain Jim (our instructor) was a great guy who was incredibly knowledgeable about sailing and seamanship. We spent 90% of our time on the water and NOT in a stuffy classroom. I look forward...More

I highly recommend this alternative to learning from "friends." The ASA certification is a great building block for continuing sailing...More

I took the introductory course to sailing after a five year hiatus. It was great. We spent very little time in the classroom and went right to the boats. I would highly recommend this.

Capt. Jim Lant is a great teacher. We had the perfect amount of serious teaching mixed with a a lot of laughs . I am looking forward to 103 . He was able to explain everything multiple ways. And the hands on sailing was great.
