Located just inside Citta di Castello city walls on south side with convenient car park just outside the wall . The entrance to the Pinacoteca is quite small and not in any way imposing as you might expect for such a gallery - in fact could be easily missed on a narrow side street to this second most important important... We have been here many times and seen a whole range of exhibitions as well as the permanent collection of course. They have shown Andy Warhol, Joseph Albers and took part in the major Signorelli show. A wonderful mixture of ancient and modern.

Interesting art collection housed in a well cared for museum with stunning external scraffito by Vasari and delightful gardens. Very helpful and well informed staff. We were very fortunate to have a guided tour of the current ceramics exhibition - Terrae - La Ceramica Nell'informale e Nella Ricerca Contemporanea - conducted by the curator Lorenzo Fiorucci. It was absolutely fascinating.... More

This is a well presented, small museum with many splendid works, including a number of De La Robbia (both brothers) works on the walls of the loggias. The palazzo is very interesting and many of the original features have been retained.

Small gallery with a few nice pieces - the palace itself is great with frescoes abounding and an excellent external scraffito facade designed by Georgio Vasari.

The art is sublime, and the decorative arches, columns, ceilings and old period furniture make this a definite on any tourist's visit to Citta di Castello. The Raphael and Renaissance paintings were definitely the highlight.

The collection is worthy, the atmosphere superb, but the palazzo with it's sgrafitto garden side is the real star. On a quiet day you can have the quiet in which to imagine you live here and receive importuners in the Treaty room. Don't forget to look up when descending stairs. Go into the garden to see up close the Vassari-designed... More
