A must see in Greve for wine tasting
This is a must do if staying in Greve as the town focuses a lot on the Chianti Classico's so it is great to learn more about this grape and local speciality. The winery itself is beautiful with great views and the wine tasting was easy to book online and has plenty of parking available. The staff are friendly and the tour guide was knowledgeable about the history of the vineyard and family history which was interesting. The wine tasting itself was ok with three wines and small bites to eat with the balsamic vinegar.

Great wine tasting and lunch! Highly recommended
Great experience and great food. The tour was great and the guide was fantastic. Very beautiful grounds and very good visit. We just drove there and there happened to be a 3 hour tour in English followed by lunch and wine tasting. It was a great experience for 65 euros per person. Highly recommended.

    Your, wine tasting and lunch
What a fabulous setting. We were led by Lucretia whose enthusiasm and knowledge was wonderful. The tour took us through the grounds of the castle to a viewing point on the terrace which offered outstanding views across the Chianti region. From there we visited the families private wine collection and then the cellars where the wines were matured. We then proceeded to a beautiful dining room where we were given 4 lovely wines to taste along with a delicious 4 course meal. All in all the t was a great day - couldn’t fault it! Thank you everyone at Castillo Verrazano winery!

Impressive Chianti wines with view to match!
Reserved Classic Wine Tour at 10 am. Excellent value. Easy parking for us as the first tour. When we were leaving the next tours were having to wait for parking spaces to open up. Gorgeous scenery of the Chianti region. Stunning tour of the gardens and pond water feature. Wonderful tour of barrel rooms, store rooms and the separate building where they hang the grapes vertically to dry to prepare the Vin Santo dessert wine. Interesting tour full of information and a good tour guide. Our group was lucky enough to have our tasting outside on the beautiful terrace with a stunning view. There was an arbor with grapevines and grapes hanging down to add to the lovely ambience. Colorful Paper placements made for the winery with glasses already set on the table made for the beautiful presentation for the tasting. Halfway through our tasting, the owner came through and chatted with guests. The history here is special and the next generations continue to carry on their traditions. The wines were top-notch and delicious. Hard to choose which ones to ship home. This was one of our favorite wineries and tours during our two week stay in Italy!

Yes it’s related somewhat to the famous NY bridge!
What a great experience! Ugh and I can’t remember the host who conducted our tasting! Sorry! It was top notch. Much more time and attention to the wines than we expected. A beautiful venue and the history of the owners was interesting. It’s an indoor/outdoor tour so hopefully weather is as good as ours!

    Beautiful Winery & Amazing Lunch
Such a great experience visiting one of the oldest wineries in Tuscany. The castle and countryside are beautiful for photos. Julia was a fabulous guide & told us about the history of the family as well as the New York connection. Organic farm with delicious lunch & 5 different wines to taste. I would highly recommend. This place was a highlight on our visit to Tuscany!

Fantastic winery tour paired with exceptional food and wine that caters well for vegetarians
From the friendly welcome, the interesting tour and fantastic meal and wine I cannot recommend this place enough. We chose the guided tour and meal with wine tasting package. All in all the tour was about one hour long with some interesting historical stories about Verrazzano and the wine making process. We then had the meal in the main restaurant which was four courses of traditional Tuscan food. We started with a cold meat and cheese platter moved onto a pasta dish and then onto some grilled sausage and chops finished off with some apple cake, the whole meal was paired with wines from the Veranzzano winery. My wife who is mainly vegetarian requested this option and the quality of the vegetarian meal was excellent with a wide variety of different Tuscan delicacies The quality of the wines and food was exceptional and the amount we received was more than enough. We went away feeling extremely full! The views you get from the tour are stunning as is the whole area. I highly recommend the trip to the Verrazzano castle and one of the organised tours.

The whole experience was great from start to finish. Our tour guide Georgio was a delight and full of knowledge, the wine was really good and the lunch was lovely too! I’d say definitely skip breakfast if you’re coming for the lunch experience as it was a lot of food but all of it delicious. Was one of the highlights of our holiday!

The estate itself was beautiful though hard to access. We were fortunate to have a driver familiar with the area. I would not recommend driving yourself unless you're used to dangerous winding roads. The tour was interesting but I would've been happier exploring on my own.

Our specific tour included lunch with a tasting. Wine is not for me, more an interest of my fellow travelers. They all tasted unpleasant to me but others seemed pleased. I found the vegetarian tasting menu mediocre. The typical menu looked VERY meat heavy and one of our party was sick into the next day. The pasta course was an embarrassment to the country of Italy.

For those who enjoy wine, they will ship it to a location of your choice - 6, 12, or 24 mixed bottles. Olive oil and balsamic can also be included.

Excellent tour, beautiful scenery, food also good - 5 courses, plenty of food/wine. Bargain for the experience. Owner came and greeted us & ate lunch with tour groups in one of the dining halls. It did take the full 3 hours.
