Villa Romana del Casale is a must visit place when visiting Sicily. The mosaics are so fresh and well presented. Just go!

The mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale are the highlight. Definitely worth the trip. Better than I have seen anywhere else. Better than Spain, Rome, the empire, and probably better than Libya - but they are now hard to reach for the average tourist. We...More

This place is a bit out of the way, near Enna, but is definitely worth a visit. It houses the ruins of a Roman villa and exquisitely preserved and extensive mosaics throughout (viewed from a high walkway) that depict roman life of the time. Famous...More

This was our 3rd visit, the first since the improvements to the site, walls constructed to give you a better understanding of how the building looked like and the roofs had the added attraction of keeping you in the shade. Amazing mosaics.

The Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina doesn't just have the most spectacular mosaics that you'll ever see. It is also breathtakingly monumental. This is a spectacular site. It makes all the other villas I've seen feel like shacks. Unbelievably spectacular. GO!

The site contains 40 mosaics in several rooms in “original” condition. It’s a relatively easy covered walk. Well worth a stop if you are in the area of Piazza Amerina in Sicily

We were truly blown away when we visited this well preserved part of history. Quite amazing. Try to get in early because busloads of tourists visit this place.

We had a car and drove. I only saw tour coaches in the car park. Nothing that looked like a local bus. Sorry
