Great testimony about the past, also about where christian iconografy is comming from. A place for imagination! I also recommend a visti of the town Piazza Armerina, small and qute.

This is not the easiest place to find and you will need transport to get there. The Villa is in lovely grounds and you can visit without a guide. There were many tour groups visiting when we were there and they can hold up progress,...More
