My love for nature draws me to places I can have a "hands on" experience. Virginia Living Museum offers many such opportunities. There is an area where children can see and touch the work of a vet hospital. There are many displays of animals, fish, birds, reptiles and such. The Museum offers shows and demonstrations. There is a planetarium, which... More

The Virginia Living Museum is a fun place to experience some local wild life; though I feel the price to be a little steep to see a Raccoon; but it's a fun interactive place for kids. If you go solo or as an adult couple you can easily find yourself shelling 40 bucks to finish the place in less than... More

This place is great for any age. Sharks and sea turtles in a mid-sized aquarium were the highlight of my visits!

A must for people who love animals or want a quiet place to spend time on a trip. Not a particularly cheap attraction, but this small zoo (native animals only), has wonderful boardwalks through the woods, where happy animals are often playing as you watch and really nice two story wings inside with places to sit or lean on. Good... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our family day at the Virignia Living Museum, especially the aquariums. Thye outdoor areas were beautiful.

Took the grandkids here and they loved it. Great place in town without having to drive hours. Love the information about the animals. Touch pool was fun for the little kids. Gift shop also available with a variety of items.

This museum is wonderful for children of all ages. It introduces them to native wildlife with some wonderful exhibits ranging from jellyfish to salamanders. There is a working beehive which can occupy children for a long time. There are inspiring fish tanks, bat caves, and an outdoor area. You can't fail to have an amazing visit.
