An absolute must when visiting Fecamp! But its not just about the drink. The history of the building, the small but well kept museum and occasional art displays make it well worth a visit too. The architectureis lovely, the guides are friendly and helpful and the visit culminates in choosing one of the three, yes three! flavours of Benedictine available....thoughbe... More

A lovely palace, loved the floors! It also was very nice to taste the bénédictine and hear how it is made.

This is a good tourist visit. The architecture of the Benedictine Palace is remarkable, both from the outside and inside. You can go in free of charge straight to the cafe bar/ tasting room and have a coffee with Benedictine and cream, or just a shot of a choice of Benedictine liqueurs. Very reasonable prices for these and the snack... More

This confection of a building dedicated to a wonderful drink is a real must on a visit to Fecamp. We were shown round the callers in a small group and maybe a bigger mixed language group may have been harder for the guide to manage I guess we were out of season enough to miss the crowds. The building is... More

Beautiful looking building, but not authentic - it was built in Victorian times and used a lot of bits of older buildings. Very informative guided tour, interesting even if you don't like Benedictine liqueur, and well worth a visit.

What a fabulous property with a beautiful collection. On top of that you can follow the history of Benedictine, a liqueur I remember well from my youth, lol. At the end of the tour a tasting room awaits. Glad we took the time to find it during our day trip to Fecamp!

The palace was not the original place where the monks made Benedictine, but the collection of artworks and memorabilia has been acquired by the owner/s of the company and assembled like a museum. It is well put together and is quite amazing. The artwork is mostly religious in nature as is most of the other memorabilia in keeping with the... More

We visited the palace as part of a Scenic tour and had the place to ourselves. The building is beautifully decorated outside in a heavy baroque style. Still glorious to look at and very photogenic. The opulence really picks up inside. Stained glass, beautiful ceilings, paintings. Inside the museum the jaw-dropping continues. Fantastic artworks, religious icons, ivories, a collection of... This was far more than we expected. The building itself is an amazing experience with some worthwhile collections of religious art and a whole room of locks and keys. The short tour of the distillery is informative and done in French and English. As well there is an interesting display of many of the herbs used in making the liqueur.... More

We enjoyed our visit to the Benedictine palace. The palace rooms are lovely and we also found the distillery part of the palace where the liqueur is distilled quite interesting. Plus, at the end of your visit you are rewarded with a glass of benedictine, lovely!
