Booked thru Princess. Tour said ‘strenuous’ and it was. Said it was 1 mile... it was 2-3 mi. Up and down steep banks with stair steps of varying distances, made of rock or tropical wood with wet leaves and mud that made it slippery. None...More

A group of us did a tour, which was ok, but overpriced for what it offers ($39/person). The views are spectacular, and the walk is great, as is the visitor center. Saw no animals other than a (very) few birds and insects. Would not repeat...More

What more could you ask for? Unfortunately, the "guiding company" I went with was short on guides and I did not get the longer hike that was supposed to have been arranged for me, but the volcano was great. For hiking, there are supposed to...More

We drove up to top. The lava is pretty far down, but you can see it. Pretty interesting, but you don't need a lot of time there. Driving through the lava field is also interesting.

We schlepped up with a group of folks from all over and enjoyed a guided tour at the top. If you're lucky, a clear day provides great views.
