We enjoyed our drive through the campus on a summer Saturday. The campus is stunning and well maintaing as one might expect. I do wish we had the time to see more of the sights here.

The best museum in town. Well worth a visit, particularly if you are interested in the Civil War and the part played by Stonewall Jackson and the VMI Cadets.

This school is on my son's top five choices. It is a unique and impressive institution. The cadets have a hard life but the rewards are clearly plentiful.

The difference between Washington & Lee's Federal-style (neoclassical) architecture and VMI's fort-like appearance, complete with crenellations along the top of the main buildings, provides a fascinating contrast. The Friday military parades on the grounds in front of the barracks are impressive. The cadets you meet...More
