I have been to the Homestead a few times and always love it. This time was extra due to the amazing service. On my way to the Hotel I called to confirm my room, when I did I was told I had two double beds which would not work for my family of four. I asked if we could please... More

My wife and I spent the weekend here for her birthday, and it was a blast. We had unseasonably warm weather, which made the pool nicer, but ultimately it was the dinner at Jefferson's that put this place over the top. One of my all time favorite restaurants to date. The ACC tourney was on, so we watched the UVA... More

We strolled through the grounds and it is very beautiful and relaxing. Much nicer than the greenbrier. The hours for the spa are limited so plan ahead of time.

Love it hear, management has made improvements each year we have come. Awesome sporting clays, 2 courses hard and easy. Wish I had known I could have saved about $50 by bringing my own ammo. Great time, highly recommend it.

Our experience was great for the entire weekend at the Homestead. Prior to our arrival, Jenny with reservations made sure that we had our dinners lined up and also answered every question we had about our stay. Once we got there, the entire staff was first class and we enjoyed every minute. We only ate at The Casino and Jeffersons,... More

We rented a house on property for a week with my dad. We cooked most of our meals and enjoyed the space of a full home vs a hotel room. Only downside was no room service! :) We played tennis, hiked, went to afternoon tea, swam and ate in the main dining room. The rocking chairs on the front porch... More

This is a wonderful, incredibly well-appointed resort in the old-school mode. Their restaurants are great and the spa is NOT TO BE MISSED. Something about the place brings out friendliness. We sat by the fire in one of the lobby's fireplaces on a cold winter night and talked to many people who just happened by. This was our second stay... More

So amazing and especially at Christmas. The hotel is so beautiful and the staff was amazing. The rooms are very quaint and personal and the hotel has everything! Skeet shooting, horse riding, archery, ice skating, and the spa is one of the best that I have ever been to. I will be going back.

The Homestead is decadent. Expectations are high. We have been here before and hope to come back. It's beautiful, luxurious. But there are some things we are amazed by that they need to fix. Many of the beautiful rooms were either too hot or too cold to actually use. There is a beautiful billiard room with perfect tables but sub-standard... More

We just returned home to NC from our second annual visit to the Homestead. I think what keeps us coming back is the gracefulness of the hotel itself, its history, and the wonderful hospitality. I hope to come back next year.
