Played today in VSGA tournament out here and played the back tees in the wind. Having never been here before didn't really know what to expect. When you pull up and see the homestead resort it's impressive. The range and practice green were nice. We putted a few balls on the practice green that rolled off the green..a sign of... More

Every time I play the Old Course, I get a great feeling - it's design is very unique - 6 of each: Par 3's, Par 4's and Par 5's. Coupled with great friends to travel with, and playing a round of golf - it's tough to beat this setting.

Like The Cascades Course, The Old Course has beautiful mountain holes. There are some houses and condos on the course, but not very many. The holes are interesting, and not repetitious at all. It is a challenging course, and has tees for every level golfer. Fore caddying is wise on some holes. There are good practice areas: a range, a... More

If staying at the Homestead, I'd recommend getting the golf package instead of paying a la carte. For a couple, it's a bargain. We'd played the Old Course 9 years ago and left with mediocre impressions. It's obvious that the Omni and Clubcorp before them put some money into making it a better course since then. The fairways and greens... More

Corse is in awesome shape! The greens are a little slower. The beer guy comes around once and has nothing but snacks. The food by #9 has been shut down so pack food or starve! A wonderful day for golf! Tee placements were good, weather was great, and I shot a great round of golf!

This is a double whammy. 1. The Old Course had the oldest original tee(1st hole) still used and/or in existence in the United States 2. The Homestead Hotel (and surrounding golf course grounds) is celebrating it's 250th anniversary this year.

I ca easily pass up a round on this course. Too many blind shots and no signature holes. It is a shame that the lower course is gone as I think everyone wants to play a variety of courses on a golf trip and this course doesn't get it!

This golf course has the oldest tee box in continuous use in America. The fairways are wide and the greens are plenty fast. What a test of your varying lies while playing the mountain terrain. Plenty of risks and rewards. I can't wait to return!

The history of the hotel (marvelous free tour), the character, the staff, the cleanliness, the array of activities offered. Such beautiful natural surroundings. A bit of clarity for the spa amenities (located on 4 different floors) would help the lost...but then you would miss some discoveries. Did I mention the fresh food?marvelous

Played this course in May and August of this year when staying at the Homestead. Since I was the only golfer in a group with scheduled activities, time was a premium. Was able to play 18 in less than 3 hours both times. The course was in great shape. Would like to have gone up the road to play the... More
