My husband and I are traveling the Northern Neck...a place neither of us has visited! (We live in Richmond, Va) We stopped at the Hague Winery because of Trip Advisor reviews! DEFINITELY worth the stop! The scenery is beautiful! I was hoping to meet Barbara from NJ after reading some of the reviews. She did not disappoint! Very knowledgeable about... More

As part of our annual winetasting tour, we visited The Hague Winery. After an outstanding presentation by the owner, we tasted six different wines - all were excellent. This will go on our list as a "Must Stop" when we are in the area.

On a hot Friday afternoon we ventured out to this winery from our river house rental, using the Virginia Wine Guide map. We chose The Hague Winery because it was the highest TripAdvisor-rated in the area, so the first on our list of a couple we planned to visit. Parking lot was deserted so we expected to be greeted as... More

This winery had the best tasting wines of the wineries we visited on this trip. But the most delightful part of visiting the Hague is Barbara, who conducts the tastings. She is a transplant from New Jersey, and has adapted well to country life in Virginia. She is very knowledgeable about the wines produced at the Hague, and makes a... More

If you are going wine tasting in the area make sure to go to this one! We went to several over the span of two days and this was our favorite! We enjoyed all of the wines they had to offer (though we had our favorites). They also have some snack foods available for purchase.

Visited on a non busy Wednesday and was served the wine tasting by the owner. So it was very personal. It does not want to be the biggest but has found its niche and produces some really good wines. The tasting room is in a old remodeled barn that has lots of character, much like their wines. Very beautiful setting... More

Interesting and bright setting for a winery. Met Barbara (from NJ) behind the counter who walked us through the various choices for wine offered by the winery. We found a couple we liked. The only issue we had was the Barbara could not devote much time to us as she apparently was the only one working on a Saturday afternoon... More

We enjoyed our visit and gathered information on the history of the Winery. Top end wines. Not exactly our type of wine, but was impressed enough to buy two bottles. Very easy to find off of the main highway, but not signed very well. Slow down before you get to Hague, or you will miss it.

My family and I traveled to Hague to spend some time together and to enjoy the water for a few days. To our dismay, the area seems to have very little in the way of shops or restaurants, but we took our chances and visited Hague Winery. All I can say was we were more than pleasantly surprised by the... More

Who knew there were wineries in northern Virginia? Not I. As a fan of Sonoma County and the abundance of vineyards in northern California, I have been to a fair number of tasting rooms. The Hague winery is a tidy venue with several nice wines. Loved the Chardonel, Rose and especially, the super duper dessert wine...first time to have a... More
