Went here with my better half's family for an afternoon. The museum is actually in a couple of buildings including the train station. There is a butterfly garden, a railroad caboose, several hands on exhibits for the kids and a domed planetarium show. Good family fun

Every time I am in Danville I take my daughter here. It had a wide variety of things to see and other interactive options to stimulate young minds (and older ones alike).

This is a really nice museum for a town this size. It is part of the Science Museum in Richmond. There are some great hands-on exhibits. It is next to the train station so that is fun. There are stuffed animals which could be off putting for some.

this is in a really nice area of Danville that is being restored and looks great. There are quite a few things of interest in this small museum and especially for kids. they have activities throughout the year and it is a lot of fun.

Such a great place to take the kids. Very affordable, too - making it easy for any family to enjoy with the children during the summer. The only downside I could see is that it's small w/ limited entertainment, but is a very nice place to visit considering it's in a small town.

A friend and I met up at the Science Center on an early morning. We took our chidren--ages 12, 8, and 7--and they all were fascinated by the variety of activities. We spent the day meandering leisurely through the exhibits in the multiple buildings of the science center, including the old train depot and butterfly garden. We packed a picnic,... More

The visit was to accompany another person. Found that the cost was reasonable. Though disappointed would have to pay additional $ for another section. Annoying and most likely few people want to spend nore.

This is a first class science center. Professionally made exhibits. Our 10 year old charge loved it... and has been here many times before. Very engaging. Extraordinarily friendly staff. We also saw two moves in the theater...very nice.

My kids thoroughly enjoyed this museum they are 7 and 9! Nothing was too difficult for them to do and figure out. We had a blast and literally had the whole place to ourselves on a Saturday morning. They have a planetarium and butterfly exhibit. There are many more smaller exhibits that are awesome! We will definitely go back soon.
