While the falls is visible from the walkway along the road, the area next to the river and falls is Posted and off limits (except for all the people who ignore the signs). It is quite dangerous to get into the river or climb near...More

Beautiful waterfall. There's a nice roadside stop with picnic tables. Well worth the drive from Covington.

You can get a lovely view from the overlook. There didn't appear to be a way to hike to it, but the overlook gives a nice view.

A great place to stop to enjoy the beauty of nature, not a lot of parking but I never seen it overly crowded so you shouldn't have to worry. Seen it many time through the year with every season having its own beauty!

It was beautiful, but I was very disappointed as I had seen pictures of people at the bottom and top. My friend and I arrived and there were multiple signs about going down there and how you'd be fined. It's basically just an overlook.

This waterfall is tall and dramatic and photo-worthy. However, it is about 9-10 miles from the interstate, north on Route 220, so be prepared to spend some time driving up the mountain on banked and curvy roads. We are glad we took the detour--the overlook...More

We would have driven right past this had it not been for reading the reviews on TA. These falls are right on the side of the highway and gorgeous. If you're not looking for it, you could miss the small parking lot. Take the short...More

I've read that they added signs and you are not allowed to swim or hike down anymore?

"Techincally" now no, But everyone from 3 to 65 can be seen swinging a leg over and climbing on down. I haven't seen it being enforced at all. I'd say proceed at your own discretion. 😉
