We camped here the second week of May. It was a little chilly, but very, very nice. Because it was before the summer season starts, we were one of just a few campers. We stayed directly on the lake which was awesome! This area is...More

Lots of great sites for camping. Would be better if the local towns were a bit closer. Very secluded. There is a beach and several boat ramps.

Not too easy to get to but worth the drive. Remember you are in the mountains so getting anywhere normally requires plenty of twists and turns and this is no exception. Once there, the view is quite pretty especially in the fall. I would imagine...More

Have sailed, fished, kayaked, powerboated, stargazed, canoed, camped, hiked, biked and picknicked. Great views, awesome sunsets.... if you want to see a sunrise, you have...More

You don't have to book a spot. It's normally not too crowded anyway. More like first come, first serve.
