The food was served Buffett style. It was delicious, but a bit pricey at $21.00\person. It is still well worth the trip if you are visiting Monticello or Highland.

Michie Tavern is a nice stop in this historical area. This is an old tavern, you can eat in the original room (or what looks like it), or in newer surrounding overlooking the scenery. We preferred the old tavern looking room. The food was buffet...More

Our family of 6 went here for lunch on Sunday and had a great time. The staff dresses in period costumes and are very attentive. The southern style lunch was good, not fantastic, but still good and worth it, especially the biscuits. The view from...More

Michie Tavern is a must when visiting. You have to try the green bean salad. Really good. The fried chicken is true southern style. It is pricey for lunch, but how many times are you going to be here?! The gift shop has a cook...More

Cute gift shop, but whoever decided these prices were acceptable is only doing it to line their own pockets. I am all about supporting local or small businesses, but I even have to question if some of the crafts were even made in this country,...More

They have cole slaw. You must pay for the full meal even if you only eat the cole slaw. It is $18 adults and $11 children plus dessert is extra.
