Small shops, theaters, and restaurants - pleasant walk on cobblestones. Late morning so not much happening. Saw a bicyclist getting a ticket, so perhaps no biking allowed there

An enjoyable place. Vibrant with couples, families, etc., all enjoying the leisure dining, strolling of its atmosphere. Take time to merely take in the pleasantness.

So much going on here. Restaurants, ice cream shops, apparel shops, bookstores, street entertainers, music. There was also a fair and concert underway which made for a fun day.

We strolled through, both directions, on a rainy day and were impressed by the quality and variety of shops, restaurants, and performance venues. It would be very fun to come to a concert or play and have dinner and cocktails. Parking was pretty easy too.

Just a few blocks to the east. Take the stairway up to West Main St and walk east (turn right) to the Downtown Mall. To the west you are just a few blocks from UVA and the Corner. The walk to the Downtown Mall takes you past... More

Retail stores are all open until at least 6 on the week-end. Nearly all are also open on Sunday. Even the ABC store is now open on Sunday.
