Great canoe or kayak launch here. a lovely short walk to see the bunker, gun and old cemetery. , and a bigger boat launch nearby. Great canoe or kayak launch here. We paddled through the lovely marsh and watched birds.

Stopped here right after crossing the bridge to the Eastern Shore and visiting the Welcome Center. The exhibits were well done and informative and the staff was very helpful. You can explore at your own pace. It is very kid friendly too. It is definitely...More

And great for kids. The short hike (also accessible from the road before the bridge toll) had lots to offer, including views of the second tallest lighthouse in the US, marshlands with lots of birds and butterflies, an informative visitor center, and remnants (including cannons)...More

Visited for a Naturalists course and learned from the presentations , exhibits and walks! Nicely maintained with knowledgeable staff.

There are other little treasures to discover here but its about birds. Great for families as well as those who have a love of wildlife. Please stop here and spend a little time.

Great place to spend a couple of hours.Friendly and knowledgeable staff in the visitors center. Nice trails and nicely maintained.

Great place to stop on the way up or down the Delmarva Penn. Must see the WW2 bunker that protected the east coast from the Nazi threat. Would be better if they add a real replicate of the actual gun used in harbor protection.

There is no charge for the visitor center and the surrounding trails. There is a charge of $13-$15 for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel if you are coming from the south (Virginia Beach) or heading south after visiting.
