We have visited the permanent and temporary displays inside and outside at this beautifully restored facility. We often attend the Lifelong Learning presentations related to Blacksburg History and Heritage at the Alexander Black House

Really lovely woodwork throughout the house. The original ceilings are awesome too. You can't get into the old basement because the house has been moved. Nice visit for a cold day.

I visited the Alexander Black House in April 2016. The interior wood, floors and fixtures were very pretty representations of the Victorian period. Only one bedroom is furnished; there is one room for children's activities (none during my weekday visit) and what would be the...More

Saved from demolition, the Alexander Black House was moved from it's original location across the street. It's renovation has been fantastic with lots of attention to detail. Visitors can wander the first floor which has information about the home, it's owners, and Blacksburg. Definitely stop...More
