You know how art galleries and exhibition spaces in nature-focused "tourist" towns usually play it safe and showcase unchallenging, tame artwork? Watercolors of mountains, the seaside, etc? Work that is supposed to be tranquil, but instead ends up being totally unmemorable? Well, the West Branch...More

An excellent gallery on the Mountain Road (108) in Stowe. Beautiful paintings and sculpture. Some by Vermont artist, Chris Curtis. I stop in for a quick look every time I'm in Stowe. Highly recommend!!

The West Branch Gallery is a true modern art museum hosting imaginative sculptures and paintings. Better than most of Stowe's other galleries featuring calendar type paintings. Certainly worth a visit.

We appreciate your visit and comments. Many of our artists are local, but not all. If we fall in love with a painter or sculptor, we have to share their work with Vermont, even if they're not Vermonters!

This gallery and sculpture park has a large stable of Vermont artists and is well worth a visit. The outdoor sculptures are massive, and are mostly stone and metal.
