Trapp Family Lodge, Guest Houses, Outdoor Center, and now Brewery and Restaurant is one of our favorite places on earth! We purchased a Guest House when our kids were young, and now they bring their children. Lots of wonderful activities for all ages; great cross-country/snow-shoe trails; equipment available to rent or buy. Excellent service, great food, easy access to ski... More

I had the best time snowshoeing! It was actually my first time snowshoeing, and it was lovely. The trails were so clean and lovely, and the staff was very nice. We had so much fun, and it was during a snowfall, so the weather was just perfect. I highly recommend!!!

One of the main reasons we visited Stowe was to give Nordic skiing a whirl. We'd always heard that the Trapp Family Lodge was the place to go for this sport. We were not disappointed - it is beautiful! They offer a terrific introduction to skiing - an hour of instruction, an all day trail pass, and equipment for $55... More

We take our hats (ski caps) off to thank the amazingly dedicated staff of Ski center. We were leaving on Sunday and we had a blissful, beautiful experience of skiing before breakfast. Apparently, around 7 a.m. all trails were freshly groomed and prepared. Simply perfect conditions for Nordic skiing! We were visiting the cabin, with shop and fireplace upstairs and... More

Lots to do from cross country skiing to sleigh rides to swimming. A great weekend escape or stop for a day trip for some skiing. Service was very warm and helpful. Lodge was quaint and quirky with Austrian charm

Trapps is a classic Stowe Vermont stay. Beautiful scenery any time of the year. But for all you winter lovers, it has some of the most fantastic xc skiing around. Hike up to the cabin for a hot lunch and ski down for a fresh micro brew.

The web site for Von Tourist Trapp Lodge is deceiving.! After calling "pool" area several times on details of pool, I was never told it was outside of our accommodations down a hill!! It was freezing for us to change clothes multiple times to use pool. Their Bakery is also down the road. I felt so deceived & absolutely nothing... More

We have skied and have been snowshoeing at Trapp many times but we just rented skis there for the first time. It was $25 for the day and the equipment was all new and well cared for. It was easy to go through the rental process. Upstairs is a very nice gift shop, a large fireplace and benches to have... More

Sleigh ride out of Trapp family Lodge outdoor center was fantastic, magical! Deb the sleigh owner and driver, was wonderful to work with and did a fantastic job driving us around the route she chose. Have a wonderful sunset and a fantastic time.

Earlier in the week my husband and I had tried our hand at snowshoeing at Smuggs' Nordic Center. We loved it so much we wanted to check out the Trapp Family Lodge trails as well! We arrived at 8am on a Thursday morning which is when the Outdoor Center opens. At that time, there was only one other family there,... More
