Really nice farm to visit especially for those with young children and people who enjoy tasty, fresh food. The farm hosts educational activities that help children (and adults) understand how a working farm operates. The employees are passionate about being part of a sustainable farm. We enjoyed the walks that you can take on the farm as well as the... More

I have lived in Shelburne my entire life and this is, hands down, the number one best place to visit. I value my annual membership tremendously and enjoy the walking trails, the lunch cart in the Farm Barn courtyard during "the season" for the delicious lunches, the cheddar cheese that is on sale at the welcome center, and the tremendous... Be prepared to the weather, so layers! Perfect place for a huge dog walking tour, you have to keep your pop on the leash but it is worth it. You will be tired after your walk. Beautiful huge open space, you can walk and admire the country side and the lake side!

We visited the farm and toured the Grand House. As we entered, people that were staying in the Lodge were seated in front of the fire with books and lap rugs. Our group was so jealous. It looked so relaxing. We went out to the beautiful English Formal Gardens that are right on the lake. It was gorgeous with all... More

We stayed at the Inn so we saw the Farm. It's fun for kids or if you're just really into farms. If you are in the area it would be a pleasant few hours.

Great place to relax, take in the sights and sounds of nature and appreciate the beauty of this working farm. There are miles of walking trails through pastures and woods leading down to Lake Champlain. We visited in the second week of October and the colors of the leaves were stunning both in the woods and across the many vistas... More

We visited Shelburne Farms last weekend when the trees in the area were nearing peak color. Oh my was it gorgeous. There's lots to do here for families with kids (and for adults who enjoy the outdoors and animals). The kids barn area has all the animals you would expect to find -- goats, chickens, sheep, pigs, cows -- and... More

Watching the animals in their environment was fun. We had the possibility to buy food for lunch there and beverages before heading to the lake! There's also an authentic bakery selling breads and pastries. A beautiful site for people who like outdoors and nature.
