My 17-year-old daughter was reluctant to do this walk but quickly came around. Alively and easy trail with beautiful signs of some of Frost's poems to enhance the contemplative feel. We went after a big snow started to melt so our footwear could have been better chosen (some icy potholes surprised us)but all in all a lovely outing.

This is a perfect fall foliage hike that covers a variety of different terrain types. It's very serene and easy to complete. You feel relaxed and even a little pensive as you wander along through the Green Mountains and try to stay focused enough to read all these poems (I swear I read them all!).

We finally made our second trip to Ripton, VT to hike the Robert Frost Wayside Trail for the second time. This time, it was peak foliage and the vivid colors were amazing and added to the mystic of the trail. During our first visit it was an unplanned stop. We were driving from New Hampshire to New York and just... More

Stop and enjoy the Robert Frost Interpretive Trail and be inspired by his poetry. We visited when the fall foliage was at its peak. Beautiful

My family (8 people in all, with ages ranging from 9 to 80) loved every minute of this beautiful hike. It is wonderfully kept and the poems along the way we're terrific. Some of Frost's most well-known poems, but also some others. It was not difficult to leisurely walk and feel inspired at the scenery. From the boardwalk over the... More

About 13 miles SE of Middlebury. About 1 mile of nature walk dedicated to the poetry of Robert Frost. There are trailside displays with poems that highlight the everyday wonders of New England fields and forests and are placed at scenic points on the trail. Often, there is a bench provided for contemplation. Popular spot for runners.

This one mile trail combines natural settings with Robert Frost poetry. I loved the combination. It is maintained by Middlebury College. The trails and facilities could use a little work, but otherwise, I truly unique experience. I particularly liked the labeling of the trees. A good place for photographs.
