Just west of the main district. It's a good-sized bridge that's lighted and doesn't creek too much when you drive through it. Due to traffic and trees there's only one good spot to take pics, just downhill on the road is a trailhead for a...More

This is a two-lane bridge of three spans, and one of only six remaining in the United States. It had the additional distinction of being the oldest covered bridge in Vermont, but was restored in 1984. There is really no parking area here but we...More

I had an hour to spare so stopped off on my visit to the college. Initially the bridge is underwhelming as it was rebuilt in 2012, but once you explore the door bridge and also the riverside you find it is very interesting. There is...More

If you are in the Middlebury area, take the short drive to cross and explore the reconstructed Pulp Mill Covered Bridge. It's two bridges in one in that each lane functions as its own enclosed bridge - all over one roof. In addition to the...More

Each direction is a separate "enclosure", although it is really one bridge. Not much room to park, but you can pull off to one side. Interesting to see the mode of construction from inside - a waterfall visible thru the trees on the west end.

This is a great bridge to drive over with out of towners. It has been beautifully renovated and is a great picture spot.

We have walked on the bridge and enjoyed a nice view of the Waterfalls. This was one of the pleasant attractions while we were visiting Middlebury this summer.

A rather unique double covered bridge. The lanes are narrow, so traversing them would be difficult for larger vehicles.

It's a reconstructed covered bridge that you can drive over on your way to the UVM Morgan Horse Farm. Don't make a special trip.

After many visits to Middlebury, we tried some back streets and came across this bridge. Like other comments, it is driveable. There is a small park next for a rest or a walk to see the dam and river.

We've been in middlebury so many times and we're unaware of this unique bridge just outside the main thoroughfare You don't come across that many wood bridges let alone two lane with a sidewalk If you find yourself in Middlebury it's a must do

This bridge is so different from most. It is two-laned, has a separate pedestrian walk, and is cool to drive across. Worth the visit if you like covered bridges.
