i had a site next to the Applician Trail. folks traveling North and South passed by all day. I loved hearing about their experiences. the facilities were nice and clean , it was very quiet and peaceful.

We'll maintain large camp sites, ample wooded space between sites, good location. Friendly staff. highway noise is a big problem night and day. Showers below average.

This hidden gem was recommended by a fellow hiker on the AT. The view of the foliage across the lake was breath taking and the colors were vibrant.

While walking on the Appalachian Trail, we walked through the park enjoying a campsite's picnic table for lunch and nearby restrooms. We were impressed at the size of and seclusion possible at many of the campsites. There are also lean-tos at the park. Good scenery...More

My wife and I didn't have too much time to explore, however, we found time to drive through campgrounds, hike a trail and visit the lake boat launch. Such a perfect place - campgrounds are awesome!
