Best skiing in the East

OK, OK, so the base is now pretty build up. The big new Jay Hotel. The big new Stateside Hotel. The Pump House. Uh, the Pump House. But the snow here is still dry and plentiful... read more

We stayed for a 4 day ski break with our kids in a timberline cottage. The accommodation was great, however I'm unsure what the $25 service fee per day is for as we received no actual service. The room wasn't cleaned or towels changed whilst we were there. The ski hill was bare when we arrived with not many trails... More

OK, OK, so the base is now pretty build up. The big new Jay Hotel. The big new Stateside Hotel. The Pump House. Uh, the Pump House. But the snow here is still dry and plentiful, the trails are old-school, the glades are amazing. Once you're actually on the slopes, it's the same old Jay Peak: great terrain, great snow.

We had our granddaughters in the mountain adventure center (second year and for young kids) for snowboarding lessons and they really enjoyed it, although it's a bit disorganized during the first check in. We also had them have a 2-hour private lesson with a young man named Ian. If you can get him, do so. He is wonderful and the... More

On Monday, January 25, I took the last tram (4 PM) to the top of Jay Peak, skied down to the bottom of Goat Run and the beginning of Queens Highway. There was a patroller standing at that intersection. I stopped at the side of the trail above the patroller to take a brief rest and to observe what he... More

Spent the weekend at the new State Side Hotel. Stayed in room 320. 2 beds, overlooking the Quad. Beds were super comfy. Very clean room and great bathroom. Microwave and mini fridge. Room was larger than average hotel room or just better laid out. Love the efficiency system with room card keys. Nice job Jay Peak. Only downside was a... More

Was looking to book a two family vacation here with friends. Found a great price for 3 nights at $1323. book it and printed the confirmation then 30 seconds later received the billing confirmation for $1951. Hadn't even finished printing the online confirmation yet. I called and asked for them to clarify and they told me flat out.... Pay up... More

I cannot say enough good things about Jay peak. This was our first trip outside of New Hampshire ski resorts and it is well worth the extra time In the car. We stayed at Stateside and it was perfect. The fridge and microwave are a nice addition, as is the coffee maker. Plus, my son was in lessons so it... More

We are just home from a wonderful 5 day visit to Jay Peak with our family of four (two kids 6 and 8). We drove 7 hours from the Kawartha region in Ontario Canada and it was definitely worth it! Due to the atypical winter we are having, we were worried about getting some skiing in, but at the last... More

Hotel accommodations were great for the price of $99.00 per night. Grated this was off season but considering the cost of the Condo's couldn't beat staying at the Stateside hotel. Rooms were very clean and large. Perfect for those skiers who have a lot of gear. Lots of hooks to hang those big coats and a good size closet for... More
