With kids in tow, "plans" often turn out to be "guidelines." The resort staff was pretty flexible so that was a plus. It is pretty remote, so heading up there expecting to be catered to constantly is pretty unrealistic. You can have it that way but it seems to work best if you help yourself a bit. I saw many... Not worth the 6 hour ride from NYC. There literally was nowhere to eat. The restaurants were all filled and no way to find a table other than pizza every day. The chair lift stopped every 3 minutes. The tram was closed for 3 out of the 5 days we were there. The worst part was there was literally no... More

My wife and I decided to take a few days off and spend some family time together with our two sons. We thought a trip to Jay Peak Resort would be ideal - ski for a day or two, spend some time in the water park, explore the area, etc. I went on to the web site to plan our... More

Jay Peak’s front-line staff are easy to like, extremely helpful, and well trained. The mountain, unlike most, is disproportionally steep, and during our visit skiing 12/12-12/14, deep. Unfortunately, the Tram is broken, and for safety reasons, Tram side is closed to skiing unless you finagle a snowmobile ride up, or skin it. Even so, with my family there to celebrate... More

Jay has done a great job reinventing the resort to make it a great destination...but the whole reason to go is for the skiing, so you need to be able to get up the hill. Despite having a great start to the season with 5 feet of snow last week, they can't get any of the lifts operating on the... More

It would have been an awesome resort if it wasn't too crowded. People crawling from all over. Not enjoyable skiing at all, a lot of accidents on the slopes. Especially after January. The lines to the ski lifts are so long, so will freeze to death before you get to ski.

Jay Peak is a lovely area, but the newer Lodge (Stateline) that is part of the resort has some issues. We were attending an event that took over most of the resort. Some things worked other not so well. The Lodge rooms are only cleaned every three days (not even that - due to staff shortages they said) and though... More

Played 18 holes at Jay Peak Golf club recently. The course shares attributes with many mountain courses but was really fun to play. The greens were in great shape and fairly quick, The tricky part for me was judging how much carry was needed to clear hazards but that comes with playing the course. The different tees allowed for a... More

Kids and parents had a blast. Great water park. Life guards are fantastic and great with the kids. The water park was included in our room package and was an excellent value. We stayed in the Condos and I was very impressed. Perfect getaway for April vacation.
