This is a mid-size state park near Manchester, Vermont. It has a nice lake which you can walk around and some other trails as well. It can be scenic in the fall. It does have a beach and swimming and canoeing in the summer time.

I went here and stayed for 2 nights for a wedding in October. Yes...wedding camping. This means that we rough it like we're camping...then we get dressed all fancy and leave the camp ground, then come back and get back to basics. It's always an interesting combination. We showed up late on a Friday night and knew that ELSP was... More

Spent a weekend (a cold weekend) at Emerald Lake tent camping. Sites were large and had a picnic table and fire pit in good condition. The fire pit had a nice, workable cooking grate. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Rangers we met were very friendly. Will go back in the warmer weather.

Beautiful lake with a walking path most of the way around it. There is a nice beach, with pedal boats and canoes for rent. My favorite time to visit is off-season, so I can bring my dog for swims in the lake!

Lean-to sites in Area B are close together, and not a lot (if any) trees or bushes in between, so be hopeful you get along with your neighbors. Lean-to site was small and rocky and not much flat area for a tent. The other campers were quiet at night, but you can hear the traffic from Rt 7 all night... More

Emerald Lake on a beautiful summer day is perfect. On a Vermont day when the sun is shining, the temperature is in the 80s with low humidity and the sky is a brilliant blue with happy, white, puffy clouds. Heaven. Emerald Lake has paddle boats and paddle boards and other boats to rent. The restrooms are clean and close to... More

We have visited this lake several times. It is surrounded by forest, has nature trails, concession stand, boat rentals, horseshoe pit, basketball net and volley ball ( far from lake). The kids favorite part is the rope swing, they rent a boat, and swing away it is safe for kids 10 and up strong swimmers. If your in the area... More

We visited this beautiful lake twice this weekend. It was a lovely spot to relax. It's an easy walk from the parking lot to the lake. Several picnic tables, lots of shade, a small park store and a beautiful little beach. Perfect for young and old alike. The cost is only $4 each to get into the state park.
