My husband and I did the chocolate "tour" and enjoyed expanding our chocolate knowledge. It was a bit of a bummer that we couldn't walk through the actual manufacturing facility, but we had a pretty good view from the small viewing area. The free samples were an added bonus! Great way to spend a bit of time while in Burlington

I had heard about these chocolates from my grandparents and in fact ordered them for my grandmother on line almost every year, but never stopped to think about a store front. We happened to be in Burlington looking for something to do - and stopped in here. What a cool store, the chocolate is divine!!! My teens got samples and... More

There was nothing special to make it a destination but the chocolates themselves. As you can find these everywhere in Vermont - it was a quick 5 minute in and out.

Stopped in on a cold November day to get some hot chocolate. We got the original and guatamalen dark. Both were delicious! A little on the pricey side but worth it.

I had an enjoyable visit to the Lake Champlain chocolate factory. While I waited for the tour to begin, I had a delicious hot chocolate at the cafe. Our group for the tour/lecture was small but our guide was informative and enthusiastic. It was really interesting to hear how the chocolate was made. The tour took about 30 minutes. It... More

Delicious and very pricey!! Large selection of chocolates, fudge and other treats, but $30/pound is a little- or a lot- much!!

Staff was polite and knowledgeable of the chocolates. Missed the tour, but was able to watch the video and look through the windows, which was pretty cool. The kids loved it. I believe between me and my wife we spent about $100.00 on candy. They had samples for free.

We stopped in the Church St location to buy some gifts. They had a good selection of chocolates and caramels, but the store felt pretty commercial. I wasn't able to find a gift box to bring back home. The prices are rather high and the quality was average. We stopped at Laughing Moon in Stowe on our way home and... More

NOTE: This review is for the store in Waterbury, VT. This is a one stop shop for cheese, chocolate and pewter gifts. All three stores are conveniently located in a small group. The selection of chocolate candies and other goodies in the Lake Champlain Chocolates store is overwhelming. Too many choices. So you're forced to buy multiple selection, right?

I really liked Lake Champlain Chocolates for years but my bubble was busted with the tour. I felt like it was not as much a tour as a bad sales pitch. Placing signs around a chocolate factory and adding a window doesn't make a tour. I am sure they make higher profits on tour sales but it cheapened the brand... More
