If you're in the area, this is a nice place to see. Not worth a special there to see it, in our opinion. History buffs would like it.

Excellent monument to the contribution of the Green Mountain boys in the defeat of the British. The battle here aided in the success at the Battle of Saratoga.

Really enjoyed going to the monument. Has a great view and a small souvenior shop next to it. If you like military history, put this on your list.

My fiance who grew up in bennington kept asking me to go to the monument. I kept declining every time we would visit her parents. I finally agreed to go and it was awesome. Great view and very friendly staff.

Staying in the Birkshire mountains, our group decided to visit this landmark. The people in the welcome center provided a wealth of information about the area and what went on at this monument. We took the elevator to the top for some impressive views. The...More

A must see if in Bennington. You can ride the elevator, so not much physical exertion. It doesn't take long, so take a few minutes and check it out. Beautiful views and history!

The cost was $5 per adult to go up 200 feet to the observation room. You can look out at the amazing view. And, then go back down. There are signs and some history available inside the monument to read. But, it would be much...More

One of those monuments that inspire awe. At the very least, drive up (one of the nicest streets in America) up to it and around. Better yet, get out of the car and walk around. And even better, go on up. I went on a...More

No charge. It's free. And there is an elevator you can take to the top, but it closes for the winter in October.
