I've always loved historic New England cemeteries, with tombstones dating back centuries. Hope Cemetery isn't quite that old, but the iconic sculptures place it in its own category. One could spend a few hours looking at these sculptures and reading the epitaphs. There are also...More

We came here after the Rock of Ages tour, at their suggestion. It doesn't take long to go through and the variety of memorials was amazing. It's worth going if you have the time.

I went for a funeral and plan to return as a respectful tourist. Very beautiful carvings and memorials. A race car memorial?! Wow! Angels, columns, and every type of carving.

I went here after touring Rock of Ages granit quarry. It was amazing to view some of the interesting memorials. You can park and walk or drive through. I drove and stopped at different locations. Best of all it's free!

For cemetery enthusiasts, the granite artistry here is awe inspiring. Not to mention the uniqueness you don't get outside of this area of Vermont. Definitely worth spending a peaceful moment wandering through this grand site.

This cemetery displays works of art in Granite. From a stone in the shape of a race car to honor a local racer to a couple in their beds side by side. It's like an outdoor museum. A must see!

Baby was in back pack, young children might not be too interested, but we were. It was interesting to see all of the Italian names, as they were the craftsmen working in the granite quarrys. Very impressive granite headstones. Cars, planes, soccer balls.....

The cemetery is beautiful and very humbling when you see the craftsmanship that has gone into the headstones. You can drive or walk through for a very pleasurable experience.

No. The roads are too narrow and it also would be disruptive to mourners who visit the cemetery. Cars may drive through or you can walk.
