I was so excited to see the salt flats, and they did not disappoint! The reflection of the sky and mountains on the water created some really cool pictures. If I had better shoes and their foot wash was on, I would've walked out further.

Amazing. We were heading to west wendover to check out the casinos on a whim... we ended up driving past the salt flats without having any idea what they were! We were so awestruck by the beauty and wonder that we had to Google what was around us. We had no clue, but we stumbled upon one of earth's most... More

We stopped here on our way back from YNP towards SLC. we took a detour to shoshone fals in Idaho and came back by this route. We were awestruck by this place and the drive. A must stop.

We were only in West Wendover for a night to attend a concert. Despite our short time there, we opted to venture out to the Salt Flats. (There's really not much else to do beside the casinos) It far surpassed what I expected. The view & scenery were beautiful (right after a winter storm)

If you are anywhere near Wendover, take an extra 45 minutes to drive out to the raceway. Or, if you’re short on time, just drive out the long jetty road towards it for a while. It’s amazing.

We've driven through this twice on road trips now, and each time I was struck by how WEIRD the landscape is.

200 km from SLC is a unique place! But when I arrived (may 2016) it is almost all water! To see a dried-up lake white needs to go in August, not before

We went in the afternoon yesterday (9/11/2016 Sunday). It takes about 2 hrs from Salt Lake City. We missed the race, but place is amazing. It was a bit cloudy but Sun tried to come out frequently from behind the clouds, so weather was very pleasant and sunlight was magnificent.

This is an area that is amazing both for its natural beauty and for the feats of speed that are undertaken here. We got to go out onto the salt flats while some racing was going on and it was really interesting to see some of the cars and bikes that were participating. Well worth a trip. I recommend that...
