Just a short drive from Vernal Utah these petroglyphs are amazing. There is no cost to see these beautiful rock drawings, and the drive to them is easy and paved the whole way. There are 3 trails you can hike, the longest one is not very hard (my 71 year old dad did it with ease) go to the very... More

The McConkie Ranch offers some of the best rock art in the world. The Three Kings panel has even been featured in National Geographic. There are 2 primary hikes (a north and a south route). Each is about 1 mile round trip. There are dozens of rock are images and it seems like every time you go around a bend,... More

These petroglyphs are very interesting but not accessible to anyone who is unable to manage very steep up and down climbs and narrow craggy trails. $5 donation per car; its on private property. Did not visit the actual ranch since it was closed Thanksgiving day.

I feel sorry for the people who posted poor review review ratings with comments like "the trail was too steep", "We could only see a few petroglyphs", etc. This is one of the densest, most spectacular panels anywhere. I'm guessing there are at least 100 images here in a very short distance. This is a "must see" for anyone interested... More

Cool place to check out some ancient art! My favorite one was the bear panel, which depicts someone having a run it with a bear.

Very nice experience, kind of owners to allow access to public, hike was interesting and not too difficult. The walking sticks they supply were helpful. Forgot our binoculars so could not see the 3 Kings panel very well but enjoyed the walk through the cow pasture nonetheless. Lots of varied petroglyphs and a pleasant hike. One of my favorite hikes... More

I am hesitant to write a review because this is such a special place! The petroglyphs were the best I have seen in southern Utah. This is on private land, so please be respectful to the property. Well worth the short drive.

The ranch was fun all around. There was a herd of deer grazing right across from the petroglyphs that were fun to watch. It was nice they offered walking sticks as it helped to keep your balance. Would maybe be a little tricky for those unsteady on their feet as you have to climb over the rocks in some places.... More

This was a great hike with ancient rock art all along the way. There is a bit of a climb at the start, but well worth it. I think it is fantastic the family has opened up this opportunity to see what is on their land. There is a shaded table area by the parking lot if you want to... More

You'll see hundreds of petroglyphs if you go here. Some bizarre, some straightforward, some extravagant. History lovers will leave very satisfied. If you have binoculars look 'up' on your way to the Three Kings panel. There's a few rarer petroglyphs most people probably don't see.
