Very scenic hike. 14 to 15 miles but it is very enjoyable. From Saddle to the peak will be cold and windy, carry warm cloths. Lots of people on weekends, parking at Timpooneke TH will be an issue.

It is a 15 miles round trip and 4422 feet elevation gain. It is very hard trail but not dangerous. Be prepared and you will be OK. We went 15 July 2016, saw spectacular wild flowers and amazing mountain goats. It is a wonderful experience!

We began our hike at 2 am and I'd never do it differently. We started from the Timpanooki tail head, which I heard is the easier route, but let's face it, a mountain is a mountain! Bring head lamps if going at night. The moon...More

We hike this trail as often as we can and it never ceases to thrill. Don't go on a weekend if you can help it. Lots of BYU students and just more traffic than we prefer . . . but if you don't have an...More

This is a fairly strenuous hike if you go to the top. Any of the trails are beautiful and worth hiking as far as you can. I hiked to the top again in late June 2015, during a hot spell of weather. It was probably...More
