What a nice park. We were looking for high ground to watch the sunset and stumbled on this little jewel. It was like being on Mars - the red planet. We watched people practice rock climbing - good idea! Make sure you have the correct...More

I took my 8 yr old here for a little father and son outing. It was really fun and although we were pressed for time due to a movie we had tickets to we really enjoyed it. We'll be going back to explore a little...More

My kids enjoyed climbing the red rocks and exploring the slot canyon. It gets really hot in summer, so be aware of the heat. It is worth a stop, if you have an hour or so to kill in St. George. We also enjoyed the...More

We went to this park to find the 'slot' canyon. It was very fun to climb over the Red Rocks. Took pictures on the bluff and then took pictures down on the ground showing the DIXIE 'sign'. We did find the 'slot' canyon, but I...More

Pioneer Park has something for everyone. I came with a few friends who love parkour, and they had the time of their lives! I'm not as avid a climber, but I still had a great time exploring the area before sunset. Pioneer Park has a...More

Yes, with caution. When we were there, we saw lots of kids with parents running, climbing and walking all over. The rocks have a good gripping surface, and there are plenty of places to explore that are not steep. If 60... More

Hello. I understand that you have fire pits at Pioneer Park. We are planning a trip to St. George from 12/24 to 01/01/2017 and wonder if we can have a fire and if so what are the rules and regulations concerning a fire. We did ask this question a few weeks ago but got no answer. We are coming a very very long way from South Florida and would like to put this park on our itinerary. Can you please share this info with us. Thanks in advance.

There's a fire pit in the pavilion, but I've not seen it used. We haven't been there at night
