For 50 years this stately and historic depot served as a major hub for transcontinental rail service. Today, it remains a monument to grand rail stations of the early 20th-century and includes four museums: the Utah State Railroad Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Browning Kimball Car Museum and the Browning Firearms Museum.

We visited Union Station & walked through all four museums. A docent gave a tour of railroad cars outside which was most fun. Those engines are mighty big. We were able to go inside the US ARMY medical car & the mail car very fun. Inside great display with the history of the railroad. The Browning gun museum is awesome... More

I first visited Union Station five years ago and very little has changed. Everything's nice to look at, but truly, unless you are a hard-core enthusiast of trains, cars, and/or guns, this is hard to get worked up about. My kids loved the play area and would have stayed there all day. They enjoyed the model trains, but got frustrated... More

Super fun place to visit! I took my 10 year old nephew there who is obsessed with trains and we ended up spending over three hours there! I also took family pictures here with the real old trains that are part of the outside museum. You do not have to pay an entrance fee to see the trains but there... More

The admission price is definitely a bargain; however, most the exhibits are outdated and need to be upgraded. If you visited the NPS Golden Spike Site, then you'll have the opportunity to view the real golden spike at this museum.

There are 4 museums located all in 1 spot. There's a railroad museum, classic cars, cowboy and firearms. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly. Lots to see, activities for the kids. They were holding a baby shower and getting ready for a wedding, so they host events as well.

The trains are so amazing to read and look at. You can get up close and walk down the pathway to look in the windows. The food in the restaurant is good. A little over priced. It's a fun place to take friends from out of town. If you face the windows you can see all the trains drive by.... More

My Husband and I had the pleasure of going to the Ogden Heritage Festival at Union Station this last Saturday. It was a very interesting place with the old trains and old Cars. There was a Model Train show, food and entertainment. A very enjoyable time.

I've never had a bad meal here. The salads, especially the cobb salad, is one of the best anywhere in the US. They have a bread pudding that is "second to none". Well worth the visit. I does get noisy, but the atmosphere is contagious. It sits on the railroad platform, houses many museums including trains of a prior period... More

This is a really neat museum, actually three museums in one. It has a Cowboy museum, The Browning Rifle museum and an Antique Car museum. It also includes a very good restaurant.

This place had a ton of wonderful information about the railway. They have a newer area for younger kids to explore and a wonderful model train that entertains children wonderfully. The outdoor display is wonderful too with all sorts of train cars to explore. Included with your admission is an antique car museum, a Pioneer Day rodeo museum and the... More
