This is a fun stop if you are in Monticello Utah this building is also connected to the tourism office or building so you can get information on local attractions and national parks but the museum itself is really fun and next door to it is a huge tractor that looks like it is very very old and they have... Always fun taking a step back in time seeing what life was like long ago in the farming community of Monticello. As others have said, the place could use a little up keep, re-labeling, and updating to make it a more attractive attraction. But it was a fun little history find along my journey.

The building is an old barn, sign could use new paint, could barely read it. Inside the rafters of the old barn are a great thing to look at, but what's with the huge plastic sheet? Love the pioneer and cowboy things, Indian artifacts are great, wish I could identify some things cause the signs just say "donated by" with... More

you would think they would want to try and talk to visitors and be friendly, the lady was kind of rude and said she didn't associate with the locals when I tried to ask her some questions,

Stopped at the visitors center and found this small Muesum packed fill of charm and a step back in time. It won't consume a lot of time but well worth the time it take to look thru the two rooms of a memories of a time gone by for this area. There was a very personable young man in the... More

Very nice little museum for this little town and a very helpful gal gave us some great advice for the rest of our drive today. T. His was a pleasant surprise on a rainy day.

This is a small town historical museum, It's not the Smithsonian. My kids 11-18 enjoyed it. It is free. They had some neat 19th century household items. It's good if you want to see a little bit of how life was for the early settlers.
