We stopped at the Coral Pink Sand Dunes to help break up the long drive from Capitol Reef to Las Vegas. There was a small chage (maybe $6) for the carload to enter the park. We parked by the viewing platform. There is a short trail through the dunes from there, with signs along the way talking about the dunes... More

Gorgeous and unusual, worth a visit. Too bad the state parks welcome noisy and intrusive off roaders!

An interesting place accessible off highway 89. The ride to it is not the most scenic considering everything else in the area is scenic. The dunes are pretty but not some place you want to spend the day (unless you have an OHV - they ride those vehicles over the dunes and it looks like fun).

This is an undiscovered gem in Souther Utah. With so many big attractions like the Grand Canyon, you're liable to miss small but amazing places like the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The dunes are an otherworldly color (as dunes go) and if you have an ATV, you'll be hard pressed to find a more awesome place to play!

State park well worth a visit. The geological creation is explained by the park staff. The view, on this clear blue sky day, between the mountain pass was in excess of 100 miles. Be aware the the dunes are allowed to be accessed by ATV's

I think we spent five hours sledding the dunes. My 10 year old son swears it was the best day of our trip and we had a very full and amazing trip! My husband had trouble staying upright on the sled and all three of us were CAKED in sand by the end of the day but like I said... More

My wife and I camped two nights here with our 4 and 6 YOs over spring break. We had an absolute blast - while the dunes aren't 'pink' per se, they are gorgeous intense colors and the boys loved running up and down them for hours. The campsites were nice and large, with modest privacy given the terrain, and washroom... More

Who knew this gem was in Utah? We stumbled upon Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in an information folder in our cabin at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, on the east border of Zion National Park. It was about 45 minutes away, so we drove over. Coral Dunes is amazing! We rented a sand sled and trudged out to Star... More

If you are looking for pink sand, this is NOT the place for you. If you like orange sand, it is great. We were disappointed with the park. Very bumpy pot hole road to get there. Once you arrive it is cool to see for 1 minute. Lots of orange sand. If you have a 4 wheeler, it is paradise.... More

Grains of eroded Navajo Sandstone are brought by wind to Coral Pink Sand Dunes, where shades of gold, apricot and cinnamon are on a big nature show. This is a lovely place to walk or to enjoy a ride with your motorized toy. Highly recommended!
