Hike into the Buttes the day after we hiked the Wave. Not as famous as the Wave but actually more to see and do. You can climb the large sand dunes and get on top of some of the Buttes which is really worth the...More

We tried for the Wave (like everybody else) several times with no luck and after talking with the rangers at the BLM, we decided to go for the South Coyotes Buttes. We did end up having to do a lottery (12 people for 10 slots)...More

we visited South Buttes and White pocket around Thanksgiving 2017 by joining a guided tour of Dreamland Safari Tours. The rock formations in these areas are amazingly beautiful with shape, striation and color. We did not win the lottery of THE WAVE, but the view...More

We feel we were at moon or bottom of the sea whole day yesterday. It just like nature history and art museum but it's way better . No any words in the world can express this beauty. It's definitely Come from God's hand.

We took a Dreamland Safari Tour that also included White Pocket. The tour and our guide, Orion, could have not gone more perfectly. The hikes, his knowledge, the beauty of our surroundings ~~ simply does not get any better.

My husband and I got online permits to South Coyote Buttes. We were fortunate to get walk up permits for The Wave but I wouldn’t underestimate this part of the park! It was beautiful, sandy climbs at Paw Hole can be challenging, recommend waking poles....More

It is a wonderful place to visit since it is not very crowded. It is very similar to the Wave and permits are very easy to come buy. It is very important that you have the correct vehicle to drive on the remote and sandy...More

I realize that this place is difficult to get into (the BLM process is tough and the trip in is long and bumpy), but if you want to see one of the most beautiful place in the world, it is worth it. It takes about...More

I wouldn't go back. We won the wave lottery and so booked passes to South Coyote Buttes adjacent to that day. While it is nice to explore on your own with no specific trails, it is a lot of tromping thru sand. Also, roads to...More

I did a tour with Dreamland on October 4th. Ron was our leader, was an exceptional tour guide. The group, scenery, lunch etc etc was perfect. Special thanks to Sammy (who got me on this tour) and Ron our Guide. Thanks Dreamland!

Buckskin Gulch, Horseshoe Bend and anything in Bryce or Zion. You can get to anything relatively easy from Kanab.

I can't find a Starlight Ranch, either. We stayed at the Zion Mountain Ranch twice and liked it a lot. It's huge and you can wander around there if you have some spare time. Not in Kanab, but not too far, either. We hired... More
