Beautiful reservoir surrounded by red sandstone. The water is beautiful but make sure and ask which parts to avoid because certain times you can get swimmers itch if the water is too warm. The reservoir is surrounded by miles of sand dunes so those who...More

See through water, red rocks and red sand (yes, red sand) beaches! Perfect place for swimming on a hot day. No hiking possibilities though. Entrance fee is USD 10 - park does not accept "America The Beautiful" pass, but it is worth it! In summer,...More

I would recommend traveling to Sand Hollow State Park. The incredible views and combination of Lake, Sand and Rock formations are simply indescribable. A Must See/Visit

A fun place to swim and enjoy a Sunday afternoon...a great place for families to play. Water was a little chilly it's still early though.

Rode the trails south of the reservoir on a side-by-side. Great trails, both sandy and rocky sandstone. Both easy and challenging options. On top, there are great views of the surrounding countryside.

I do know they perform random checks at other parks and if it's not registered they make leave. Not worth the risk if you want to enjoy your vacation....
