What a great little museum this is. As someone who shot the rapids years ago, this was a very enlightening view of what the first explorers of the Colorado River endured so that we may enjoy the area.......

A great historical story awaits you about an early American explorer, John Wesley Powell. Very nice displays, indoors and outdoors. Nice story line. One of the best local history museums I have seen.

This museum is all about the trip which was made by John Powell to explore the Green and Colorado river in 1869. Your visit starts with a movie and afterwards you can explore the museum. Toilets outside on the corner. Museum shop with friendly staff.
