The bathroom and showers were very clean and conveniently located. The sites for tent camping included picnic tables. There was even a nice flower garden in the center of the tent sites. The sites were large enough to put of two, two-man tents. The pizza at the cafe was great! I would highly recommend the food. If just traveling through, I would recommend just stopping for the food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at one of the cute cabins at Escalante Outfitters. After tent camping for a few nights it was great to have a real bed and a shower! The owners’ efforts at creating a flower garden in this desert landscape are commendable. But the best part is the food! We had excellent pizza and a very substantial salad for dinner, and enjoyed great espresso drinks, quiche and pastry for breakfast. Highly recommended!

My friend and I usually camp out out in the desert when we are in Escalante and we are used to roughing it. This trip, however, we were both just too tired, so we decided to book one of the cabins. I’m really glad we did. The cabin was very clean and the bed was much better than I was expecting (though softer than I am used to). It’s not large, but was enough room for the two of us and our stuff. Each has its own heater/AC, which was nice. The bathrooms were also clean and convenient, though some hooks by the showers for towels would be helpful. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast calzone and quiches were delicious, but the pizza we had one night after an all day hike was absolutely amazing. Their crust is a sourdough, and is cooked perfectly. We had the Chop Rock and all agreed it might be one of the best pizzas we’ve had in Utah. With everything being so different this year, it was great to see a local place adapting and being successful. Will definitely visit again, especially for the pizza.

What a wonderful alternative to a hotel! We chose the bunkbed version so we could have extra moving room. Surprisingly warm as was the bathhouse, 20 feet from our door. Laundry room on site so we could wash everything half way through our trip. Great food for breakfast, the pizza at night smelled wonderful- very popular. The staff were friendly and helpful. My quarter jammed in a washing machine and two staff worked at it until they fixed it. Accommodations made to stay safe during the pandemic, but also able to purchase goods and relax outside, many tables in different locations out of the sun. Parking off the road, clean and great location for day trips.

Came here for dinner on a recommendation from our hotel (Escalante Yurts). They had a lovely outdoor seating area where you could buy a bottle of wine (they are also a liquor store) and enjoy while snacking on a pizza or salad. We ordered a pizza, sandwich, and salad. We all agreed that this was the best and freshest meal on our road trip across Southern Utah. Will be back next time we're in the area!
