Paria Canyon Wilderness Area is close to Big Water, UTAH near Hwy 89 between Kanab, UT and Big Water, UT. The whole area is amazing with lots of multicolored sandstone formations and slot canyons.

Drive down a bumpy dirt road for about 8 miles to come to the trailhead called Wirepass. It is about a 2 mile easy hike one way to the slot canyons, and from there you can hike on as long as you wish. Very beautiful!

A guide, an off-road vehicle and the place to ourselves! What more can you want? The photo opportunities, the inside knowledge all made for an excellent, personalised visit!

This is a gorgeous area that really attracts photographers. The Wave and Buckskin Gulch are the most popular hikes in this area.
