I recommend calling before driving out there. They were great answering the phone and estimating when will be less busy time to come. They only allow 250 people at a time and max out quickly. So you wait in line for other people to leave...More

My friend and I went to the Blue Hole on a girls trip, thinking it would be this oasis away from the crowds. Wrong! They don't accept reservations for swimming. We arrived around noon and were told we needed to get in line, for the...More

I've been in the area many times over the last 25 plus years but never visited before where I stepped into the water. Plenty of parking although the park has a limit as to how many people can access the water. Cypress trees create a...More

We had the opportunity to take a look when the place was closed to swimmers. It is beautiful! The water is so clear, and the limestone bottom makes it a beautiful turquoise blue. I'm sure the place is packed with swimmers in the summer.

Magical - Arrived in TX 1995 - SHAME ON ME for not checking this out earlier! On a hot day I would suggest to walk. We walked the .8 mile 84 degrees, would be tough in mid summer. "drive"

We enjoyed a nice hike and view of the blue hole. It was not open to swimmers until 10:00 so we had a nice quiet walk through the area. It was beautiful and would enjoy going back to swim in the river.

The gorgeous river has a lovely path that is well maintained and you can catch the path to town along the river from here which makes for a nice short hike...we loved the quiet and beauty.

These are great trails to hike or run. Beautiful. We saw a deer. Very close to the Square Inn where we stayed.

I don't know.
Are pets allowed and are there any fees to enter? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I have never been there. Thank you!

Pets are allowed in the general park, but are not allowed in the swimming hole area. The general park area is free, but there is a fee to use the swimming hole. Fee is $9 for adults (13-59); $5 for children 4-12 years... More
