Learn all about Wharton County and there heritage. Great little museum it is in an awesome town of Wharton , Really enjoy spending hours reading and enjoyed seeing the house that Dan Rather grew up in . Don't forget to go to the 20th Century...More

Wonderful museum packed with eye popping exhibits. Several special rooms filled with great historical artifacts. Spotless inside and out with easy access.

Visitors for Thanksgiving enjoyed the whole Museum experience! All of the displays were very nice, but my grandkids loved the animals from the Johnson Family's Collection!

Awesome time was had here! So much history in Wharton & I love learning about local history. Museum curator was super nice, helpful, & informative! No admission but donations greatly accepted :)

I don't know if it will be open on Easter. Hinze's Bar-B-Que is only about 2 miles away on Hi-Way 59.
