My wife has an obsession with big cats. No matter the species, she could sit and watch them for hours. After seeing Tiger Creek on TripAdvisor, I knew I'd have to take her. It's located just minutes from the Tyler State Park. Parking was abundant, though it isn't paved, so I'd imagine if it had just rained it may be... More

Our family visited Tiger Creek on a day when they happened to be celebrating autism awareness, so I'm guessing a typical day is more quiet visitor-wise. The big cats, mostly Tigers but also lions and others, were beautiful and looked very well cared for. One of the keepers told us that the refuge is a place big cars go to... More

It's an impressive sized park, and as the name indicates full of tigers and big cats. The staff is very friendly.

This place is way different than the ordinary Zoo, you get a lot closer to the animals and can see them lazing around, playing or lounging in the water. There are so many different cats it's quite amazing. It is a walk thru that takes about 45 minutes or so and you can go at your own pace, they have... More

About 40 big cats, including 27 Bengal and Siberian tigers, 4 or 5 lions, a couple of pumas and some smaller species. Staff is very knowledgeable and dedicated to the animals. The habitats are spacious, giving the cats room to roam. If you think these animals should be returned to the wild, think again. Most of them are pets that... More

I have taken my grandkids here. It is a great place to learn about each of the animals there and their stories of how they arrived at Tiger Creek. I love their heart for giving quality of life to these animals and educating everyone about them. You can even "sponsor" the animals at the gift shop!

How often do you get the opportunity to be just a few feet away from beautiful tigers and lions? Usually when you go to the zoo, they're always hiding and you can barely see them. Not here! We took the guided tour and the tigers seemed to enjoy being viewed by the guests. They would walk right up to the... More

They have LOTS of cats! Would recommend the guided tour, as it is the same price as the non-guided and you get a lot more insight and facts about the cats.

We enjoyed it but the white tigers would not come out. The best part is listening to the guides stories about how the animals got to Texas. If you have children that need activities this is not the place. Don't go on rainy days or when weather to hot. It's all outside.
