Great guide.

The Bob Wills museum was one of the highlights of our trip. Don was a great guide and knew a lot of details about Bob Wills.

The Bob Wills museum is very good. We were there for Bob Wills Day. It is in the old school. The last class graduated in 1972 which I found that interesting. The museum also had pictures of Turkey in its hey day. It was a busy little town.

For die-hard devotees of Western Swing, a visit to the Bob Wills Museum is an obligatory pilgrimage. However, even casual toe-tappers will find much to enjoy here, especially the opportunity to tour the space with Don Turner, Turkey's ambassador of all things Wills. We asked the friendly ladies at the "This 'n' That" corner curio shop for directions, and by... More

We arrived in Turkey on a weekend. Stopped at an Allsups to ask for directions to the museum, they informed us that the museum was closed on the weekend but gave us the phone number of the caretaker! We called, he came and we experienced the most amazing trip into the past! The museum is small but chock full o'... More

This is a quaint little museum, located in the old high school on the edge of town. It was interesting to learn more about Bob Wills. Not far from there is the Caprock Canyons State Park, which is scenic to drive through. Not much going on in Turkey, Tx., but at the right time of day, you very well might... More

Pretty interesting piece of history. Museum has a lot of artifacts from days gone by. Turkey also hosts the Bob Wills Music Festival during the last weekend of each April.

Actually I visited this a few years ago, but tripadvisor.com doesn't give the option of selecting more than a year back. I confess I am not a Bob Wills fan, but, I am a huge music fan, and I love history, so I was drawn to this place. I thought the Bob Wills Museum was fun. Try to grab a... More

It is hard to have an interesting museum about one person. Turkey does their best, but . . . Bob Wills day (and weekend) in April is the time to be there.

We stopped by the Bob Wills Museum in Turkey, Texas and by luck they were open that day to host a lunch and museum visit for Asleep At The Wheel. It was really cool!! The museum is very nice and had lots of Bob Wills history. Every western swing fan should put this museum on their list of must dos!!!
