I take my dog for a walk in the preserve when the weather has been dry - after a rain it is way too muddy. We usually take a 45-60 minute walk. There are two "loops" - an outer one (2.5 miles) and an inner walk(1.7 miles.) Except on weekends and holidays it is not too crowded.

Enjoyed our hike here today. We went around the perimeter, with a few side trips and ended up just over 5 miles. There were some people, horses, and dogs on leashes, but it was not overly crowded. As we got further away from the parking area there were less people to be seen.

This is a nature preserve park fitted with hiking paths and mountain bike trails. I especially enjoy mountin biking and although there is only one true trail, it makes for a great workout just minutes from home. I enjoy wild animals around, and that there are some people using it for exercising or simply enjoying nature. There is a large... More

The parking is limited, but the short hike (a little over a mile) is an easy walking loop through a nicely wooded area.

Great hiking & biking trails, all well marked. We took the grandkids there (ages 4-12) for a hike and everyone enjoyed it. Don't forget to bring water and a camera!

The simple, easy-to-walk dirt path goes on and on through the woods with the opposite loop frequently visible. Nothing distinguished about it. Takes maybe 30 minutes or so. A small parking lot, but watch carefully or you'll miss the entry sign.

Get the feeling of walking in the the wilderness while not even leaving The Woodlands. Parking can be a problem on the weekends. No concrete just hiking trails and people.
